My collaborative approach to therapy involves partnering with clients to envision and create the change they desire. I specialize in working with individuals, couples, and families impacted by sexual abuse and boundary violation. My clinical experience in trauma also includes helping clients with religious and  medical trauma. My extensive years of  experience focuses on my  interest  with issues unique to women, including identity, body image, reproductive concerns, and medical challenges. I welcome working with people of all cultures, sexual identities, and religious histories. My style of work and my commitment  to treatment is to facilitate healthy communication between individuals and within families desiring to heal from ruptured relationships.

My highest priority is developing a comfortable and trusting therapeutic relationship with my clients. Together, we identify specific areas of challenge and vulnerability as well areas of strengths and resources. The therapy I provide incorporates: mindfulness, mind-body awareness, relaxation exercises, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and communication skills. I help clients  discover and honor their own voice - developing and celebrating their unique identities in an often challenging climate.

With over 30 years-experience working as a therapist and clinical supervisor, I have developed a strong belief in the power of resilience, and in the ever important use of humor.
